GROWING UP is an exhibition by five professional artists who are inspired by gardens. They will be accompanied by students from Kingston College. Barbara Hunt, one of our premier Garden Designers will be introducing her book ‘Creative Connections’ (co-author, Elizabeth Whateley). Exhibited will be a selection of her award winning designs from the Hampton Court Flower Shows and other work, including the Golden Jubilee Garden, in The Savill Garden, Windsor Park ,which was opened by the Queen in 2002. Elaine Alderson, successful scenic and special effects artist specialising in film, television and corporate events but for her own enjoyment she loves to paint small and intimate garden-scapes in oils. Antonia Black winner of three prestigious watercolour prizes including second prize in the Singer Friedlander, Sunday Times : the Grand Prix Salon International de la Peinture a L’eau Tregastel France : Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Open competition. Alban Low enjoys depicting the simple village life and surrounding landscape of Cambieure in the South of France and has already held two sellout exhibitions at the Gallery. Peter S.Smith, Head of Art and Design at Kingston College, will be showing paintings and prints inspired by Kew Gardens. Students : Image based installation.
